The
cottage is only a thirty minute drive from the main ferry terminal at Craignure.
Its rural location with two other similar cottages in a valley adjacent to a golf
course means that you can be assured of a very peaceful stay. However,
picturesque Tobermory, the main town on the island, is only a short walk
away with its wide variety of pubs, shops and restaurants.
After dark, the lack of any light
pollution means that on a clear night the stars can be amazingly bright
and the only noise will be the occasional call of an owl. By day you can
enjoy the view from the dining room and lounge and watch the ponies come
down to the burn to drink. In the warmer weather the patio furniture
provides a quiet and private place for a relaxing meal or cup of coffee.
A short stroll will take you to the Golf
Course from where you can take in the spectacular panoramic views of
Tobermory Bay and the Sound of Mull.
Glenfuran is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of
Mull. The modern, high quality furnishings add to the sense of light and
spaciousness and the large kitchen-diner provides an ideal setting for
family meals. The comfortable lounge is the perfect place to unwind. Due
to the high standard of thermal insulation the cottage will be warm whatever
time of year you chose to rent. The residents of the
neighbouring cottage are also immediately on hand to provide assistance or
advice as required.
To get you started a welcome pack consisting of milk,
bread, butter, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar and a bottle of wine will
await you on your arrival. Other facilities include a supply of washing
powder/tablets for the washing machine and dishwasher, buckets and
spades for the beach, a video library, a selection of books, children's
games and picnic utensils.
Our aim is to make your stay as pleasurable as possible so
that you will be keen to return to Glenfuran in the future and pass on a recommendation
to your
friends. We are happy to assist you with making your travel arrangements. If you require any further information about Glenfuran or Mull in
general please do not hesitate to contact us.
